How to Connect Prama CCTV Camera with Monitor?

Connecting your CCTV camera with your monitor is an easy process that allows you to view live or recorded video footage from the CCTV camera on your monitor. If you are setting up a new system on your own, you are at the right place. We will guide you step by step to connect your CCTV camera with your monitor.

Step 1: Check the CCTV camera configuration.

The first step is to check your CCTV camera configuration, as only an analog camera can be connected to the DVR. Connect the power-adapted pin to the CCTV camera, then connect the coaxial cable to the camera at its back end.

Step 2: Mount the security camera.

Now mount the camera as per your needs, where you need to. Always mount your CCTV camera at a higher place, so that a wide area can be covered. If you are planning to mount a dome or bullet camera, install it at the side end of your property. If you are planning to install a fisheye or PTZ camera, then install it at the center of the room. This helps you get a 360-degreeview of the property.

Step -3 Connect it to a DVR.

Once you mount your CCTV camera on the wall, connect the other end of the coaxial cable to the DVR. A DVR can only be connected to the analog camera and not to the IP camera. Once you connect it with the DVR, a light will be litted, showing it has been connected successfully. The all-new Prama DVR is equipped with an in-built hard disk, which saves more data without the requirement of an additional hard disk. These DVRs consume less energy and save more money.

Step 4: Connect the DVR to the monitor.

Once you connect the CCTV camera to the DVR, the next step is to connect the DVR to the monitor. You would need an HDMI or VGA cable to connect it to the monitor. Plug one end of the cable into the DVR and the output of the other end into the monitor’s input port.

Step 5: Configure the monitor.

Once the connection is completed, adjust the monitor’s resolution to match the output of the DVR. You can connect the CCTV camera with Prama online, which enables you to watch live video footage of the secured zone. Connecting your CCTV camera to the monitor helps to enhance the functionality and security of your surveillance system. By following this, you can ensure a smooth setup and enjoy the benefits of a reliable security monitoring solution.

Conclusion

You can go ahead with the Prama advanced DVR with an in-built hard disk, which requires no additional hard disk. The Prama DVR is equipped with H.265 Pro+ technology that enables you to save more data on the hard disk. The DVR is equipped with Motion Detector 2.0, which can detect humans and vehicles with each channel to focus on the real threat. The DVR consumes less energy as compared to other DVRs.
