How to Set HDD Storage Mode in Prama NVR and DVR

In modern security systems, Network Video Recorders (NVRs) and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) play a crucial role in recording and storing surveillance footage. Prama’s NVRs and DVRs offer various storage modes to efficiently manage and store video data. One of the important mode known as HDD Group mode, which allows users to manage multiple HDDs in groups. Understanding HDD Storage Modes in Prama NVRs and DVRs

1. HDD Group Mode: This mode allows users to manage multiple HDDs in groups. By creating HDD groups, users can specify which video channels should be recorded onto a particular group of HDDs. This helps in organizing and managing the storage of recorded video data more efficiently.

2. HDD Quota Mode: In this mode, users can allocate a specific quota of HDD space to each camera. This means that each camera will have a predefined amount of storage space for storing recorded files. This mode is useful for ensuring that each camera has enough storage space without wasting HDD capacity.

You can find these setting in the Prama Web browser menu, you can change the setting as per you need.

Setting HDD Storage Mode in Prama NVRs and DVRs

To set the HDD storage mode in Prama NVRs and DVRs, follow these steps:

1. Access the Main Menu: Start by accessing the main menu of your NVR or DVR. You can typically do this by using the remote control or the on-screen display.

2. Navigate to Storage Settings: Once you are in the main menu, navigate to the storage settings section. This is where you can configure the HDD storage mode.

3. Select Storage Mode: In the storage settings menu, look for an option called “Storage Mode” or something similar. Select this option to choose the HDD storage mode you want to use.

4. Choose HDD Group Mode or HDD Quota Mode: Depending on your requirements, choose either the HDD Group mode or the HDD Quota mode.
